A Rolex “double red” Sea Dweller with a Cartier dial sold for $91,200, and a Rolex “Paul Newman” Daytona Ref. 6239 attained $84,000. All prices include buyer’s premium.
Overall the sale generated $5,706,324. Bids came in from around the world including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Italy, Germany, France and Romania. Eighty-one percent of the 416 timepieces were sold by lot and 122% sold by value. In addition to the bidders in the sale room and on the telephone, 478 bidders participated online.
